styling tips

take a deep breath

The best advice I can give you is this – Wear something that makes you feel GOOD. It’s simple, if you feel good, you look good! Your comfort will translate through the camera helping to create authentic moments with minimal stress.

need a little more help?

Here are a few suggestions that I like to offer in order to help your session flow better visually

  1. TRY TO AVOID: too many patterns, bright/neon colours, logos on clothings, bulky watches, sunglasses.
  2. Think about your shoes - especially kids. Go barefoot whenever possible.
  3. Black EVERYTHING! Black makes everyone look good and photographs very well.
  4. Neutral Tones ALWAYS! Neutral colours photograph very well and go together in many different
combinations. What are neutral tones? Cream, Gray, Tan, Brown, Olive Green, Sage etc...
  5. Add a POP of Colour! Personal favourites are: Mustard Yellow, Forest Green, Deep Plum, Burnt
Orange, Buffalo Plaid (it’s a colour, right?
  6. Coordinte!!!! Gone are the days of having to be matchy, matchy. You just want your outfits to flow! I
am happy to help ANYTIME. Lay them out on your bed and snap me a million photos! I’m here for it!!
  7. Dress your kids on location! Car rides = snacks and drinks = spills on perfectly planned outfits
  8. Dress for the season! Sometimes that means layers on layers and sometimes that means barely
anything at all! Keeping yourself and you family as cool as possible or as warm as possible can make
    or break a session!
  9. Dress for your body! It’s great to be into the latest trends and strive for that pinterest board outfit but
be true to yourself! Wear what makes you feel good! No. Matter. What.
